Yes I Can Transformation & skilling Academy

Foundation at its PIE centre at village Matila is running a transformation & skilling academy where children, boys, girls & women of the nearby villages are benefitting under following initiatives:

a. Digital awareness & computer classes: Digital classes to provide basic computer knowledge is in progress since 17th August 2021 and more than 50 students are learning the basic skills of computer & information technology.

b. Remedial classes: School going & dropout Children are being taught in remedial education classes to enhance their understanding in English, Maths & General Knowledge and supplement their school learning’s. These classes are in progress since 19th August 2021 at Matila and around 30 students from the nearby area are attending the classes.

c. Sewing & Tailoring skill center for women empowerment : Foundation is actively working to enhance the skills of women & girls of the nearby areas. The sewing & tailoring skill center opened at Matila have trained more than 52 women & girls of the nearby villages and it was shifted to Shitlakhet where more than 40 women are undergoing training. The center begged orders for stitching of carry bags to be prepared by these women which will generate income for them.

d. Vakta Programme : At the remedial school, Foundation is also working to enhance the communication skill & self confidence of the children, women & girls attending the center. Regular sessions & competition is conducted to develop “Vakta” and encourage them with
